Job Description
Job Title:
Assembler M - F 6:30am - 3pm $19 Responsibilities Receive returned products from the field and review customer complaints to understand reported issues. Open and follow service procedures for each product model using the computer system. Perform diagnostics on products to identify faults and determine appropriate repairs. Notify and collaborate with a technician when additional support is needed for complex diagnostics. Carry out repairs as needed, including replacing components and swapping boards when board-level issues are identified. Perform soldering tasks, primarily soldering new power jacks onto boards, with training provided as needed. Execute assembly operations at a workstation using basic hand tools and power tools. Conduct calibrations and variable testing using oscilloscopes and gilibrators to verify flow rates and other performance parameters. Use judgment to ensure all products conform to established specifications and quality standards. Work under detailed written work instructions and verbal guidance to complete mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assembly tasks. Troubleshoot issues that arise during assembly, diagnostics, or testing and implement appropriate solutions. Handle and manipulate small components and parts accurately and safely. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation and follow all workplace procedures. Essential Skills At least one year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably with mechanical assembly experience. Experience performing mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, or electro-mechanical assembly. Ability to troubleshoot issues during diagnostics, repair, and assembly processes. Experience using basic hand tools and electric tools in a production or assembly setting. Ability to manipulate small objects and components with precision. Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written work instructions. Ability to follow verbal instructions accurately and consistently. Comfort working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and gilibrators, or willingness to learn under guidance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with soldering, particularly soldering power jacks onto boards, or willingness to learn soldering on the job. Experiende in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with working under microscopes or similar visual aids for detailed assembly or inspection tasks. Comfort using computer systems to access service procedures and documentation. Strong attention to detail and quality, especially when performing diagnostics, repairs, and calibrations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
