Production Lead (Electronics Assembly & Soldering) Direct Hire |
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30PM Pay:
$25+/hour (depending on experience) A growing electronics manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Production Lead to support daily operations across electronic assembly processes. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership and is ideal for someone who enjoys working on the floor while helping guide and support a production team. The Production Lead will work closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure quality standards, workflow efficiency, and team performance across the manufacturing process. Position Overview This is a working lead position , meaning the Production Lead will actively participate in assembly, soldering, and troubleshooting while also providing guidance to production staff. The role requires strong technical knowledge of electronics assembly, soldering, and inspection standards, along with the ability to identify potential quality issues before they impact production. The team currently includes about 18 production employees, and this position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting operators, and helping improve production processes. Key Responsibilities Lead and support daily production activities within electronics assembly and SMT operations Perform hands-on electronic assembly, soldering, and rework as needed Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing or quality issues during production Ensure work meets IPC and quality standards Assist with on-the-job training and support for production team members Partner with production leadership on workflow improvements and process efficiency Help monitor production output and address issues affecting quality or delivery Required Qualifications IPC certification (current or previous) is required Strong experience in electronics assembly and soldering (through-hole and/or surface mount) Ability to inspect and identify quality issues in PCB assemblies Experience reading prints, schematics, or assembly documentation Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills for electronic assemblies Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with production teams Candidates will be asked to complete a soldering test and quality inspection test during the final interview. Preferred Experience SMT production or electronics manufacturing leadership experience Experience training or mentoring technicians or assemblers Familiarity withISO 9001
