Job Description

Job Summary Perform duties required to assemble electrical and pneumatic components into all inline presses and press equipment for final shipment. Tests, calibrates, and troubleshoots inline presses and press equipment. Summer Schedule is 4x10 off Friday, a 30-minute lunch.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble electrical and pneumatic components such as switches, relays, terminal blocks, wiring, air gauges, air lines, fitting, etc., into electrical sub-assemblies such as, control panels, printed circuit boards, counters, harnesses, registry boxes, etc. Assemble various components per engineering drawings by using schematics, point to point drawings and diagrams. Inspect components prior to assembly for visual defects and damages. Rework component if defect or damage is minor. Inspect and test sub-assemblies, after assembly, for proper electrical and pneumatic operation using test fixtures, where applicable. Troubleshoot sub-assemblies using schematics to locate wiring errors or defective components Assist engineering department in redesigning and building sub-assemblies for prototype presses Qualifications/ Skills Required Knowledge of circuit components and operation Ability to read electrical schematics Troubleshoot using schematics General knowledge of basic electricity Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Education/Experience Required Technical associate, High school degree or equivalent
Experience:
6 months electrical experience or electrical schooling

Work Environment Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility's production floor or customer's production environment. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer's facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
