You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints and schematics, and operate basic machinery to complete final assemblies and support occasional repairs. You will also receive cross-training in several warehouse areas so you can step in and assist where needed. Responsibilities Assemble metal air outlets, vents, and air cleaners using hand and power tools according to blueprints, schematics, and work orders. Use drill presses, punch presses, and riveting machines to assist in the assembly process and complete final assembly operations. Measure and mark materials accurately using a tape measure and basic measuring tools to ensure components meet specifications. Identify parts that require repair and provide them to welders for corrective work, then complete reassembly as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine assembly steps, component placement, and hardware requirements. Inspect assembled components for accuracy, quality, and completeness, and make adjustments to meet standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including safe storage and handling of hand tools, power tools, and materials. Collaborate with a small production team to meet daily and weekly output goals while maintaining strong attention to detail. Receive training in multiple areas of the warehouse and assist in other departments when production demands require additional support. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when using tools, equipment, and machinery in a non-climate-controlled facility. Essential Skills At least 1 year of assembly experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders. Ability to read a tape measure accurately and understand basic technical drawings. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical assemblies and components. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks. Basic understanding of assembly processes involving drill presses, punch presses, and riveting machines. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, proper fit, and high-quality assembly. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a production setting. Reliability in following a set schedule and completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling metal products such as vents, air outlets, or similar mechanical components. Familiarity with electrical assembly or working with basic electrical components and schematics. Comfort working in a non-assembly-line environment where tasks may vary throughout the day. Ability to adapt to cross-training in multiple warehouse and production areas. Strong communication skills to coordinate with welders, team members, and supervisors. Commitment to safe work practices when using hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Why Work Here? You will work in a clean warehouse environment with a close-knit, smaller team that fosters a family-like atmosphere and strong collaboration. The schedule features a four-day core workweek, offering consistent hours Monday through Thursday, with optional Friday shifts that provide additional flexibility and earning potential.
