Electrical Assembler Job Description The Electrical Assembler wires and assembles control panels and electrical cabinets using blueprints, ladder diagrams, and electrical schematics. This role involves selecting and organizing wiring and materials, building panels to defined standards, and assisting with cabinet fabrication in a climate-controlled shop environment. Responsibilities Wire control panels on a daily basis according to established company standards and procedures. Read and interpret blueprints, ladder diagrams, and electrical schematics to ensure accurate panel wiring and assembly. Gather and organize all necessary wires, components, and supplies required to complete each control panel project. Assemble control panels to the required specifications, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and termination of wires. Learn and follow the company's specific methods for wiring and assembling control panels and electrical cabinets. Use a variety of hand tools safely and effectively during wiring, assembly, and fabrication tasks. Assist in the fabrication and assembly of the actual electrical cabinets that house the control panels. Inspect completed panels and cabinets for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications before they move to the next stage. Collaborate with team members in the shop to meet production schedules and project deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle tools and materials in a safe, efficient manner. Essential Skills Experience or training in wiring control panels or similar electrical assemblies. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and ladder diagrams. Working knowledge of electrical wiring practices and basic electrical theory. Proficiency using hand tools commonly used in electrical assembly and fabrication. Mechanical aptitude for assembling panels and cabinets accurately and safely. Attention to detail to ensure correct wiring, routing, and component placement. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized wiring methods. Capability to work full-time on a Monday-Friday schedule from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Additional Skills & Qualifications Electrical/Electronic Associate Degree from institutions such as technical colleges or trade schools (for example, Ranken, Vatterott, or ITT) is preferred. Control panel wiring experience is preferred but not required. Open to entry-level candidates who can demonstrate working electrical knowledge gained through school or training programs. Previous hands-on experience in electrical assembly, control technology, or related fields is a plus. Comfort working in a structured production environment with defined processes and standards. Work Environment This role is based in a climate-controlled shop environment with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The facility closes during the week of Christmas and New Year's Eve, providing additional time away from work. Employees use a variety of hand tools and work around electrical control panels and cabinets in a structured production setting. The dress code allows jeans and a dark blue T-shirt, with company blue shirts available for purchase. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
