Job Description

  • Assembly Technician - Day and Night Shift Available
  • This role focuses on assembling mechanical and electrical components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions while consistently meeting quality and production goals.
You will use a variety of measurement tools, hand tools, and gauges to ensure accuracy and precision, support quality control activities, and help maintain a safe, calm, and well-organized production environment. Responsibilities Assemble parts and components according to drawings, work instructions, specification sheets, and verbal instructions while meeting quality and quantity objectives. Assemble, position, and align parts in the specified relationship to each other to ensure proper fit and function. Verify part accuracy using various measuring equipment and gauges, including calipers and other precision measurement tools. Perform in-process quality checks on parts within the assigned process and document findings as required. Complete necessary production and quality paperwork on the line accurately and in a timely manner. Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, schematics, and quality plans to determine assembly requirements. Use hand tools, mechanical tools, and, where applicable, soldering tools to assemble and secure components. Assist new employees by training them on equipment operation, reading specification sheets and drawings, and following quality plans. Rotate through all departmental jobs within this job classification as needed to support production demands. Participate in special projects as assigned by leadership to support continuous improvement or production needs. Attend required training sessions to maintain and improve technical skills, safety awareness, and quality practices. Adhere to all quality and safety systems, policies, and procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and a safe work environment. Support inventory control and production flow by following established processes and communicating issues promptly. Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with work instructions. Skills & Qualifications Preferred 6+ months of quality control experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience working with schematics and wiring in an assembly context. Familiarity with soldering in an electrical or electronic assembly environment. Experience operating production or manufacturing machines as a machine operator. Comfort working with inventory processes and production workflows. Ability to train and mentor new employees on equipment, documentation, and quality practices. Strong focus on accuracy, precision, and consistency in all tasks. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
