The Electro-Mechanical Assembler II is responsible for assembling mechanical components into subassemblies and finished products. This position performs precision assembly work, including soldering under a microscope, hand assembly, and the use of power tools, laser systems, and other precision assembly equipment. As a Level II Assembler, you will work more independently, complete complex assembly and quality inspection tasks, and may train and support Level I Assemblers. Success in this position is measured by consistent adherence to production schedules, product quality standards, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Assemble assigned product components in accordance with production guidelines. Perform product spot checks to ensure compliance with approved quality standards. Assist with developing and implementing operating methods and procedures to resolve production issues and improve product quality. Promptly notify management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions. Follow established company policies and procedures, with particular attention to safety requirements. Complete assigned tasks in accordance with company quality standards. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area. Train and support Level I Assemblers as needed. Use required personal protective equipment and appropriate electrostatic discharge controls. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. Two to four years of related electro-mechanical or electronics assembly experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Qualifications Relevant certifications may include:

IPC-A-610

Supervisory responsibilities:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may train Level I Assemblers. Schedule This is a full-time position working the standard production shift assigned by the department. Occasional overtime, including nights and weekends, may be required to support production needs. Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing and assembly environment. Employees may work with or around fumes, chemicals, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, hot plates, and ovens. The noise level is typically moderate. Appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and electrostatic discharge protection, is required based on the task and provided by XMA. Physical Requirements Regularly use both hands and communicate verbally. Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds. Possess the depth perception and ability to adjust focus required for precision assembly work. Work Authorization Due to the nature of our business, some positions may require U.S. citizenship.
