Job Overview
Responsible for complex and diversified assembly of a variety of products, primarily thru-hole PC boards, for which procedures and methods are prescribed. Intricate fitting, adjusting, and aligning of a considerable number of parts (involving close tolerances and interrelated factors) are required to complete products, units, or sub-assemblies. Applies excellent hand-soldering skills. Use work order package and utilize on-line bar code reporting system for labor and manufacturing quantities. Fabricates the Company's products in part or whole per established procedures and methods.
A Day In The Life Assembles and/or wires complex equipment following blueprints, models, and model prints. Skilled adjusting, fitting, and aligning are required within close tolerances. Perform thru-hole PCB assembly. Follows work cell procedures. Sets up and operates one or more basic production machines such as component trim machines, Amp machines, and riveting machines. Is flexible and able to perform many operations on products in and outside of home department. Solders to best commercial specifications primarily thru-hole component. Use hand and power tools as required. Builds harness assemblies. Use work order package and utilize on-line bar code reporting system for labor and manufacturing quantities. Performs related duties assigned by Supervisor. Works overtime as required. Strives to meet prescribed quality standards in an ISO environment. What will help you thrive in this role? Minimum of 1-3 years electronic assembly experience. Ability to read blueprints and schematics, identify components and color codes. Excellent soldering skills.
