This role plays a key part in ensuring that fixtures are assembled accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. Working closely with production leads and quality inspectors, the Assembler ensures that each product meets company standards and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical and electrical components (brackets, driver/battery pack, emergency ballast or LED boards, end caps, reflectors, etc.) with extrusion by using the required tools and materials. Performs wiring, soldering, and component installation as required for each product type. Interprets assembly documentation, including diagrams, schematics, and bills of materials (BOM). Ensures all parts and materials meet quality standards before assembly; reports any defects or shortages. Maintains accuracy and consistency in product assembly to meet production targets and deadlines. Conducts basic functional testing on assembled fixtures to verify proper performance. Completes required production documentation, ensuring accuracy in counts, time tracking, and component usage. Follows all safety procedures and keeps workstations clean, organized, and compliant with 5S principles Collaborates with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues and ensure continuous improvement. Identifies opportunities to improve assembly processes and supports implementation of corrective actions. Education High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field is an asset. Experience Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or light industrial role. Experience in lighting manufacturing, electrical assembly, or precision component assembly is an asset. Skills Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions. High attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to follow standardized work processes and safety procedures. General Work Conditions Noisy manufacturing floor environment. Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods
