THE COMPANY
August Robotics is an international startup building application-specific robots that automate business workflows. We are a global team with offices in Germany, Australia, the US, China, and Hong Kong, backed by leading VC investors. Our robots serve clients in the exhibition, construction, and industrial layout industries, and we are currently growing our team.
THE ROLE
As an electro-mechanical assembler, your responsibilities will center around the assembly and maintenance of our various robotics products. After receiving training from the mechanical engineering team, you will be responsible for assembling the company's robotic products and components in our manufacturing facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. This assembly work will be your main role with the company. In addition to your assembly work, you will also: Categorize, organize, and manage robot parts, components, and accessories in the company workshop. Support colleagues with daily robot testing and related procedures, assisting test engineers in conducting full system tests on the robots. Maintain the company's fleet of robots by ensuring that all robots remain clean, fully functional, and that prototypes, components and spare parts are kept in optimal condition. Troubleshoot robot issues and assist with cleaning paint systems, product packaging, logistics, and loading / unloading of robots before and after jobs.
YOUR SKILLS
What we are looking for: Strong interest in technology, robotics, and/or mechanical engineering Experience in assembling and/or maintaining mechanical equipment, such as automation systems, motor vehicles, production machinery, and assembly lines. Educational background of at least a secondary vocational school, preferably in an electrical-related field or with strong experience in electrical work. Ability to meticulously follow detailed technical instructions with a diligent and precise approach. Excellent organizational skills Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate within a team. Ability to foresee potential issues and proactively seek assistance when necessary Positive work attitude, a strong eagerness to learn, and a keen drive for self-improvement. In addition to the above requirements, ALL of which you must demonstrate to be considered for this role, the following skills are helpful but not required: Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (either spoken or written Chinese, or both) would be extremely helpful - Hands-on experience in assembling robots, motor vehicles or other electro-mechanical equipment or components You must have: Valid driver's license Fluent written and spoken English Willingness to travel as required (up to 3 weeks per month) Nice to have: 1 to 2 years experience in an engineering or technical role Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment Exposure to project-based work
