Wire and Cable Assembler - Level 1

Silver State Wire & Cable is located in Sparks, Nevada. We are looking for a meticulous Wire and Cable Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you'll be the hands-on expert responsible for building the "nervous system" of our products. You will take raw wires and components and transform them into high-quality harnesses and assemblies using blueprints and precision tools for the military/aerospace and commercial industry.

What You'll Do Interpret Technical Specs:

Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work orders to ensure 100% accuracy.

Precision Assembly:

Route, plug, and tie wires to form harnesses; perform soldering, crimping, and heat-shrinking.

Tool Operation:

Utilize hand tools and automated equipment (wire strippers, crimpers, etc.).

Quality Control:

Inspect finished products for continuity and defects using multimeters or pull-test machines.

Maintenance:

Keep a clean, organized workstation and maintain equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.

What We're Looking For Experience:

1 year of experience in electrical assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

Ability to identify wire colors/gauges and proficiency with soldering and crimping tools.

Detail-Oriented:

A "measure twice, cut once" mindset. You notice the small things others might miss.

Dexterity:

Excellent hand-eye coordination for working with small components.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Bonus Points If You Have:

J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 or

IPC/WHMA-A-620
