Job Description
Soldering Technician / Assembler Job Description Join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer as a Soldering Technician / Assembler, where you will engage in electronic assembly within a dynamic production environment. This role is perfect for individuals with electronic assembly experience who thrive on hands-on work. Responsibilities Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies. Assemble modules, circuit boards, panels, frames, cables, and other components. Follow diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions to complete assemblies. Use hand and power tools to assemble products to specifications. Perform continuity checks and basic testing on completed work. Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet established standards. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype or experimental assemblies as needed. Support production goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety. Essential Skills 1-2+ years of experience in electronics assembly or manufacturing. Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes. Fine-pitch soldering experience. Experience applying conformal coating or similar coating applications. Ability to read and follow technical drawings, diagrams, and assembly instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Why Work Here? Work Environment Located in Owego, NY, the position operates on a second shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the use of hand and power tools, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owego, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
