As a Coil Winder, you will be responsible for winding coils used in electrical equipment and instruments, or as electronic components, according to wiring diagrams, a sample coil, or a work order.

Responsibilities:

Wind wire onto magnetic cores to specified number of turns, according to wiring diagrams, sample coil, or work order. Cut wire to specified lengths, using wire cutters. Tins wire ends, using soldering iron. Insert and adjust air core, iron core, or laminate core into coil. Inspect and test completed coils for continuity, resistance, and shorts, using ohmmeter, and other testing devices. Record production and operational data on specified forms. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in coil winding or related field preferred. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and work orders. Familiarity with hand tools and soldering equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. The salary range is $40,000- $46,000. #IND2
