Randstad is currently hiring a Kitter / Assembler for an established Long Island manufacturer. We are looking for someone who can work between the warehouse and production environment — preparing materials and kits while also assisting with hands-on assembly.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a combination of kitting, inventory, warehouse, and assembly experience and takes pride in accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities Pick, organize, and prepare parts and components for production Build kits according to work orders, BOMs, and production requirements Verify part numbers, quantities, and materials for accuracy Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory Pull and stage materials for production Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counting Complete picking, packing, labeling, and material handling Perform hands-on assembly of components and subassemblies Use basic hand and power tools for assembly Inspect parts and completed work for quality and accuracy Maintain accurate inventory and production documentation Keep warehouse, stockroom, and production areas organized Qualifications Kitting experience required Inventory experience required Warehouse experience required Assembly experience required Experience picking and staging parts for production Ability to read work orders and identify part numbers and quantities Experience with BOMs is a plus Comfortable using basic hand tools Attention to detail and inventory accuracy Reliable and able to work effectively in both warehouse and production environments Interested? High SchoolResponsibilities Pick, organize, and prepare parts and components for production and assembly. Create and maintain accurate kits based on work orders, BOMs, and production requirements. Verify part numbers, quantities, and materials before releasing kits to production. Perform hands-on mechanical and electronic assembly of components and subassemblies. Use basic hand and power tools to complete assembly work. Receive, stock, organize, and maintain warehouse inventory. Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counting and inventory accuracy. Pull and stage materials for production based on daily manufacturing needs. Perform picking, packing, labeling, and material handling duties. Maintain accurate inventory and production documentation. Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy. Maintain an organized warehouse, stockroom, and production work area. Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
