Job Title:
Panel Builder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Wire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wiring and building electrical control panels, junction boxes, and various components. A key part of this role involves interpreting schematic drawings and utilizing various tools to ensure precise and efficient assembly. Responsibilities Wire and build to order electrical control panels, junction boxes, and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings. Perform power and ground wiring as well as cross-wiring. Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, etc. Utilize small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications. Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments. Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets. Collaborate closely with the Assembly Lead Technician to improve and correct assembly times for proper manufacturing engineering documentation. Essential Skills 1-2 years of experience in Electrical Assembly/Panel Building. Ability to read electrical blueprints/schematics. Proficiency in mechanical assembly. Experience with hand and power tools. Knowledge of PLCs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with larger panel/cabinet assembly. Familiarity with full panel layouts. Why Work Here? The facility is a 43,000 square ft. space that is heated, air-conditioned, and adheres toISO 9001
standards. The noise level is moderate, and the environment is clean and organized, following the 5S methodology. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and a t-shirt, creating a laid-back atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eastlake, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
