Pay Rate:
$21 to $26/hr, based on experience Job Description A manufacturing company is seeking Electrical Assemblers to work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
Assemble, wire, and test electrical control cabinets, control panels, and electro-mechanical systems in accordance with established specifications, drawings, and procedures Perform control panel and cabinet assembly, including point-to-point wiring, wire termination, labeling, and installation of electrical components Install electrical and electro-mechanical components such as terminal blocks, relays, contactors, power supplies, switches, circuit protection devices, connectors, sensors, and other hardware Perform mechanical assembly of cabinets, panels, enclosures, brackets, and related hardware using mechanical fasteners and standard assembly techniques Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, assembly drawings, and bills of material Perform electrical continuity, functional, and system-level testing to verify assemblies meet established requirements Troubleshoot wiring, component, and assembly issues and make necessary corrections Conduct daily quality checks of completed assemblies and document discrepancies on the Quality Improvement Sheet Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established safety and quality procedures Communicate assembly, quality, material, or drawing issues to the appropriate supervisor or engineering personnel Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, and other mechanical/electrical assembly tools, electrical test equipment and test fixtures, and measuring and inspection tools Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations
Job Requirements Job Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must have at least 4 years of experience assembling/testing electro-mechanical hardware, including two years' experience with electrical assembly Experience building electrical control panels, cabinets, enclosures, or similar industrial electrical assemblies strongly preferred Must be proficient reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings Must have the ability to perform control panel assembly, point-to-point wiring, electrical wiring, wire termination, crimping, component installation, and mechanical assembly techniques and use of mechanical fasteners Must be able to properly use hand and power tools, as well as, electrical test equipment Electrical continuity, functional testing, and troubleshooting basic electrical and wiring issues is required Must have the ability to pay attention to detail while performing work accurately, thoroughly, and navigating production documents, entering or retrieving information in computer system Must be able to read and follow basic blueprints, wire drawings, and schematics Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, remain focused, consistently follow established procedures and specifications, and keep work area safe, clean, and orderly Must be able to follow all safety guidelines and regulations Only those candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
