Job Title:
Electronics Assembler Job Description This role focuses on the electronic and mechanical assembly of medical test equipment in a small, family-oriented manufacturing environment. You will assemble, solder, wire, and inspect electronic components and cable assemblies at a production bench, working a daytime Monday through Friday schedule. Responsibilities Perform electronic assembly of medical test equipment according to drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Complete mechanical assembly of units, including fitting, fastening, and securing components. Solder components onto circuit boards and perform wire bonding as required. Stuff circuit boards with electronic components and ensure correct orientation and placement. Produce cable assemblies, including cutting, stripping, and terminating wires. Perform wiring of units and wire harness assembly to specified layouts and schematics. Carry out rework and touch-up soldering to correct defects or improve connections. Assemble probe assemblies and related electronic subassemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production documents in English. Inspect assemblies for proper workmanship, orientation, and quality, and identify part direction on circuit boards. Follow production schedules and meet output and quality targets in a bench manufacturing setting. Handle and assemble small parts with care and precision while occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs. Essential Skills Experience in electronic assembly, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience soldering components to circuit boards and performing wire bonding. Proficiency in soldering assembly, including through-hole and related techniques. Ability to perform wiring, wire harness assembly, and cable assembly work. Ability to work confidently with small parts and delicate electronic components. Capability to identify part orientation and direction on a circuit board. Ability to read, write, and speak English to interpret drawings, blueprints, and production documents. Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs as part of assembly and material handling tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with mechanical assembly of electronic units or enclosures. Familiarity with inspection of electronic assemblies for quality and workmanship. Comfort working in a production environment with standard electronics manufacturing tools and equipment. Attention to detail and steady hand skills for precise soldering and small-part work. You will work primarily in a seated position at an electronics bench using typical assembly and soldering tools, handling small components and cable assemblies in a calm and friendly setting. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
