Job Description

At our Products Division in Hillsboro, OR we specialize in advanced electrical and mechanical assemblies that support critical semiconductor manufacturing equipment. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Assembler to join our team—someone who brings deep expertise in power box builds, wiring, routing, and low‑voltage assemblies , along with strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills. UCT is looking for a talented Senior Electrical Assembler to join us in Hillsboro, OR! This is a senior‑level, hands‑on role responsible for assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems in a high‑mix production environment. You will play a key role in ensuring build quality, supporting engineering changes, and improving assembly processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble, wire, and integrate complex electrical systems , including: Power distribution boxes (panel builds) Low‑voltage assemblies Cable harnessing and routing Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and build documentation Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and rework on assemblies Route, terminate, and secure wiring with precision and adherence to quality standards Partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve build issues Support engineering changes (ECOs) and new product introduction (NPI) builds Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements and standard work enhancements Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and documentation requirements Maintain accurate build and rework records Act as a technical resource and mentor to junior assemblers Support production goals for on-time delivery and operational efficiency Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in electrical or electro‑mechanical assembly Strong hands‑on experience with: Power box / panel building Cable routing and wire harnessing Low‑voltage electrical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability in a manufacturing setting High attention to detail with strong commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, or other high‑precision manufacturing industries Familiarity with: Engineering change orders (ECOs) High‑mix, low‑volume production environments Experience supporting NPI builds or complex configurations Informal leadership or mentoring experience Track record of improving assembly quality, efficiency, or processes Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Physical Demands :

Ability to talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required.
Environmental Exposure:
Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris. Subject to noise levels.
Overnight Travel:
