Now Hiring Electrical Assembler in York, PA First Shift Opportunity $18.62/hour Job Description The Electrical Assembler will focus on cutting, crimping, and stripping wires while supporting a variety of assembly tasks in a modern manufacturing environment. The role includes cross-training in other assembly areas and progressive development toward more advanced electrical work, such as reading and interpreting schematics and performing in-depth wiring. Responsibilities Cut, crimp, and strip wires accurately and efficiently according to specifications. Perform basic electrical assembly tasks using hand tools and assembly equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to complete wiring and assembly work as skills develop. Assist with mechanical assembly tasks as needed to support production requirements. Cross-train in additional assembly areas to provide flexible support across the production floor. Learn and gradually take on more advanced electrical responsibilities, including schematic interpretation and complex wiring. Follow standard operating procedures and 5S housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Use online drawings and documentation via wireless-connected computers and tablets to ensure accurate assembly. Collaborate with a small team to meet production goals and support a streamlined, high-capacity manufacturing process. Adhere to all safety guidelines and quality standards while working with electrical components and mechanical assemblies. Essential Skills Hands-on experience in electrical assembly or completion of relevant electrical schooling. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints. Solid understanding of basic electricity and electrical concepts. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and mechanical components. Ability to perform wiring tasks including cutting, crimping, and stripping wires. Capability to learn and apply new assembly processes and advanced electrical techniques over time. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with both electrical and mechanical assembly in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization and housekeeping practices. Comfort using computers or tablets to access online drawings and work instructions. Willingness to cross-train in different assembly areas to support changing production needs. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a newly built, clean, and climate-controlled manufacturing facility with a strong focus on organization and 5S housekeeping. The production area spans approximately 54,000 square feet and features newly painted floors, walls, and ceilings, along with a reorganized layout designed for higher capacity and efficient product flow. A new product transfer shaft supports easy movement from final assembly and testing to installation bays. The facility uses all electric standup trucks and forklifts to reduce dirt and dust, and overhead LED lighting provides bright, energy-efficient illumination throughout the space. Wireless connectivity supports online computers and tablets, enabling real-time access to drawings and documentation at the workstation. You will work on a small team within the assembly area, with cross-training opportunities in other assembly functions. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a paid break from 9:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m., a 30-minute unpaid lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., and a paid break from 2:30 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. Fridays are generally off but may be available from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon depending on workload. The work involves handling new materials, so the environment stays relatively clean, and the updated production area continues to expand with planned welding, fabrication, and testing spaces. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.62 - $18.62/hr.
