Job Title:
Panel Builder Job Description This role focuses on building, wiring, and installing electrical panels for automated and robotic systems You will read and interpret electrical schematics, assemble and wire panel boxes, and integrate completed panels into robotic cells and automation equipment The position offers hands-on work with advanced automation technology in a clean, organized, and safety-focused environment Job Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical schematics and prints to understand panel layouts, wiring routes, and component placement Drill and tap panel boxes to prepare mounting locations for electrical components and hardware Assemble and build electrical panels, including mounting components, routing cables, and organizing wiring according to schematics Wire panel boxes using appropriate hand tools, ensuring neat, accurate, and safe connections Install completed panels into automated systems and robotic cells, following detailed blueprints and instructions Work on various robotic assemblies, performing wiring and system integration tasks to bring robotic cells into operation Review blueprints for each robotic cell, understand the build requirements, and follow direction on where and how to start the assembly process Stay assigned to specific areas or cells for several weeks at a time to complete full build cycles from start to finish Adapt to different instructions and configurations for each cell, as each project is customized for different end customers Use hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, stripping, crimping, fastening, and securing wires and components Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and prints with at least 2+ years of experience Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical wiring, including panel and control wiring Hands-on experience with 2 box panel wiring, including layout, routing, and termination Strong hand tool aptitude and proficiency using tools such as screwdrivers, drills, taps, crimpers, and wire strippers Experience building and wiring panels for automation systems or similar electrical assemblies Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
