Job Description

Job Title:
Mechanical Assembler Job Description Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will engage in the assembly of mechanical components such as valves, coils, and other large structural parts. You will collaborate with a team to install components including bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal into oversized modules built from structural tubes. Your role will predominantly involve mechanical assembly, with some basic electrical assembly tasks. Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly on large mechanical structural parts. Work in a team to install components like bus ducts, air handlers, and cable trays. Conduct basic electrical assembly such as pulling wire and installing bus bars. Read and interpret blueprints, BOM, P&IDs, and work instructions. Communicate instructions effectively to the team. Maintain a fast-paced, repetitive work routine. Essential Skills 3+ year's experience in mechanical assembly, specifically with valves and coils. Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, caulking guns, and torque wrenches. Familiarity with machines like large band saws and magnetic drills. Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experienced in mass production or high-volume manufacturing. Basic electrical experience, including wire pulling and conduit assistance. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment with concrete flooring and open bay doors. The area is not climate-controlled, and you will be working alongside welders. The workspace involves frequent movement of forklifts and overhead cranes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77051. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
