Job Summary Performs a wide variety of electromechanical production subassembly and assembly operations of a semiskilled nature to disassemble and assemble difficult and complex units in a repetitive environment. Assist the area supervisor in day-to-day operations of the group and will fill in during the Supervisor's absence. Essential Functions Assembles, disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes and tests units where operations and sequences are specified by established documentation. Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units. Operate basic electronic test equipment such as volt meters Hi-pot and leakage May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections. Set up and operates automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment Create non-conforming/defect records and process material accordingly. Required/Preferred Education and Experience High School Trade School Graduate or equivalent required Generally, more than 5 years of related experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be able to read and understand assembly documentation, blueprints and/or wire lists. Must be familiar with general computer operation. May be required to perform basic soldering of PTH and SMT assemblies IPC Soldering Certification a plus Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English QSR experience a plus Preferred Languages English
