High SchoolResponsibilities Read & Interpret Schematics:
Follow electrical schematics to understand circuit functionality and proper component placement.
Component Assembly & Inspection:
Install polarized and non-polarized components (resistors, capacitors, diodes) in correct orientations and inspect finished boards for quality.
Precision Soldering & Rework:
Perform fine hand-soldering—including through-hole soldering and SMT touch-ups/rework—to ensure clean, reliable joints on circuit boards. (We're willing to train on the tools)
Electrical Testing:
Utilize multimeters to test continuity, measure resistance, and verify circuit path integrity.
Quality Assurance & Defect Tracking:
Identify defect patterns (e.g., repeating loose solder joints) and investigate root causes rather than just fixing symptoms.
Equipment Operation:
Work alongside automated production equipment, stepping in for manual assembly or corrections whenever automated processes require touch-ups.
Qualifications Must-Have:
Basic familiarity with reading electrical schematics and standard schematic symbols.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in electronics assembly, or small electronics repair (computer, smartphone, guitar pedal, or appliance repair), or Surface Mount Technology assembly preferred. Comfortable using basic testing tools, particularly a multimeter for continuity and resistance checks. Attention to detail, natural curiosity, and a willingness to speak up or ask questions when facing borderline quality specs.
