Summary:
Assembly of electronic, subassemblies and systems.
SMT Soldering Associate Major Duties and Responsibilities:
SMT Soldering Associate Follow engineering drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions. Crimp, screw, bolt, rivet, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operation to join or secure parts in place, utilizing hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment. Perform point to point wiring of electronic assemblies per wire list. Mount components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on chassis, panel, or printed wiring board. Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets. Perform proper symbolization tasks as required on components, subassemblies and unit assemblies. Notify management of any conditions felt as being non-conforming to product specification and any procedures that cannot be performed as documented. Perform all tasks in accordance with company established, quality workmanship standards. Accurately complete all documentation involving material process and personnel requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work station.
Job Requirements:
High degree of dexterity and eye coordination, to allow manipulation and placement of component, subassembly and unit assembly functions. Ability to understand and follow instructions in a supervised environment. Ability to lift up to 30lbs. Basic knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings to include parts lists, wire lists and assembly drawings. Working knowledge of basic quality standards in electronics manufacturing. Verbal and written communication skills to provide for respectful work related communications with peers and personnel from other departments. Required overtime on an as needed basis.
