Job Description
The Electrical Technician plays a vital role in our operations by performing electrical installations on all products, troubleshooting, servicing, diagnosing failures, and making repairs on electrical and/or other various systems. This position requires prior experience in oilfield equipment in an E-Tech role and a strong skill set in electrical systems. Roles & Responsibilities Follow instructions and perform work to install electrical components accurately and efficiently. Prepare documentation, administer physical inspections, and complete sign-off books to ensure proper documentation of work performed. Conduct final system checks to verify proper installation, functionality, and compliance with standards and specifications. Adapt to new situations and systems on the production line or in the service shop, including older units, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills. Effectively test, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems, products, assemblies, and/or components, meeting quality and safety standards. Communicate potential quality and/or compliance deviations effectively to appropriate stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Utilize test equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems and controls, even in the absence of schematics, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise. Possess a thorough understanding of electrical voltage reading, including AC/DC, 4-20mA, PWM, resistance, and other relevant measurements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and demonstrate manual dexterity necessary for performing tasks effectively. Education & Experience Prior experience in an E-Tech role on oilfield equipment preferred. Technical certification or relevant vocational training in electrical systems. Specific Skills Proficiency in using test equipment and troubleshooting electrical issues. Strong understanding of electrical principles and voltage readings. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
