Mon-Fri | 7:30am - 3:00pm | OT Available (Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm) The Houston branch of Openwork is looking to add a Wiring Assembler to our client's team located in Stafford, TX. Our client has been in business since 1997 and has rapidly grown. If you have manufacturing experience, or you are a recent grad we encourage you to apply!
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Install electrical components into HVAC equipment according to engineering specifications and production instructions.
  • Route, secure, and terminate electrical wiring, harnesses, and cables using approved methods.
  • Install and wire components including contactors, relays, transformers, terminal blocks, disconnects, circuit breakers, overloads, sensors, control boards, PLCs, and VFDs.
  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and electrical enclosures.
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires using proper tools and techniques.
  • Install wire labels, terminal markers, wire loom, cable ties, and protective routing materials.
  • Maintain proper wire separation, routing, and protection to prevent damage, interference, or electrical failures.
  • Ensure all electrical connections are secure and properly torqued when required.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Identify electrical components and verify proper installation locations.
  • Follow updated engineering revisions and production instructions.
  • Perform wiring modifications according to approved documentation.
  • Perform visual inspections of completed wiring assemblies.
  • Verify wire routing, labeling, component placement, and termination quality.
  • Conduct continuity checks and basic electrical verification using approved testing equipment.
  • Identify and report incorrect components, damaged materials, wiring issues, or engineering concerns.
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues during production testing.
What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous electrical assembly Experience
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical systems.
  • Experience with wire preparation, crimping, and electrical terminations.
  • Ability to use basic electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and continuity testers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and production standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
