Electrical Assembler Spike Electric Controls, Houston, Texas Position Summary:
The Level 1 Electrical Assembler is an entry-level position within the Electrical Assembly team. The primary role is to assist in the installation of electrical equipment, including copper bus, breakers, and other major components. This role requires the use of hand tools and the willingness to learn and operate various equipment throughout the shop.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultural Representation:
Uphold and represent the values and culture of Spike Electric Controls, fostering a positive and growth-oriented work environment. Encourage team collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning.
Equipment Installation Assistance:
Support the assembly team in installing electrical components such as copper bus bars, breakers, and other equipment. Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures for installation tasks.
Tool and Equipment Operation:
Utilize hand tools (screwdrivers, hand drills, wrenches) and other equipment safely and effectively. Learn to operate additional shop equipment under guidance.
Quality Assurance:
Perform basic quality checks on assembled components. Report any issues or discrepancies to the Electrical Assembler Lead.
Workplace Safety and Maintenance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with the assembly team to meet production goals. Assist team members as needed to facilitate efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical aptitude. Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment. Capable of performing physical tasks and lifting up to 30 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in electrical assembly is a plus, but not required. Establish a record of good attendance, which shows strong dependability.
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Electrical Assembler Lead.
Pay Band:
Electrical Assembler Level 1
