Electronic Box Build / Cable Assembly Technician Niltronix Circuits Sugar Land, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Soldering Cable termination Cable assembly Electrical crimping Wire harness assembly Full Job Description Position Summary The Electronic Box Build / Cable Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting electronic systems, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The technician ensures products meet customer specifications and production requirements while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assemble electronic enclosures, chassis, and subassemblies. Build and install cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and connector terminations. Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs). Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, lacing, and heat-shrink operations. Route and secure wiring within electronic assemblies according to specifications. Install components such as PCBs, power supplies, switches, relays, connectors, and hardware. Conduct continuity, insulation, and functional testing using appropriate test equipment. Troubleshoot and repair assembly defects and wiring issues. Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Follow ESD, IPC, safety, and quality procedures. Support prototype, low-volume, and production manufacturing activities.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
