Job Description:
Electrical Assembler Lebanon, VA Assemblers, or Mechanic Assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. Starting with painted frames, the assembly process relies on the assembler/mechanic to install all mechanical, hydraulic, and drivetrain components required to complete the machine. They also aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. They must maintain clean work areas and follow detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements. Assemblers must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. Their function is to ensure that all parts and products under their care are in proper working order and meet the quality standards of the company and industry. The ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents is a critical part of assembly .
Responsibilities:
Putting together component parts or pieces, adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics Verifying the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items Using hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures Ensuring all parts/components are assembled correctly Inspecting and testing the equipment Positioning or aligning components and parts, either manually or with hoists Adhering to quality control and making changes as necessary for compliance Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or verbal/written instructions Keep a clean and tidy workspace Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry Identify any defective items and manage them according to established procedures Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise Any other job assigned by
Supervisor Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Proven experience as machinistAttention to detail Excellent hand-eye coordination Skilled with mechanics Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
