Our Troy, VA facility is focused on clean assembly, electrical integration, and scalable production work supporting Duravex's continued growth. Position Summary Duravex is seeking a UL 508A Control Panel Builder to build, wire, and support testing of industrial control panels and electrical assemblies. This is a hands-on role for someone who can read electrical drawings, follow documented procedures, and produce clean, accurate, reliable work. The right candidate will take pride in workmanship, organization, and doing the job correctly the first time. UL 508A panel shop experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider a strong electrical assembler or panel wiring technician with the right technical foundation. Key Responsibilities Build and wire industrial control panels, electrical enclosures, and related assemblies. Read and follow electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, bills of material, and work instructions. Install and wire DIN rail, wire duct, terminal blocks, breakers, fuses, relays, contactors, PLCs, power supplies, transformers, control devices, and related components. Perform wire routing, labeling, termination, ferruling, bundling, and component identification. Support UL 508A requirements for workmanship, wire sizing, spacing, separation, labeling, component usage, and documentation. Perform continuity checks, basic electrical verification, and in-process quality checks. Identify drawing, material, or build issues early and communicate them clearly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications Experience building or wiring industrial control panels, electrical cabinets, machinery panels, or similar electrical assemblies. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Strong attention to detail and pride in clean panel workmanship. Familiarity with hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, ferrules, torque tools, labeling systems, and basic test equipment. Knowledge of UL 508A requirements preferred. Experience with PLC panels, VFD panels, motor controls, power distribution, or industrial automation is a plus. Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a safety-first mindset.
