- Full-time Control Panel Wireman/Technician II About our company For 25 years, WaterTectonics has designed, manufactured, deployed, and serviced advanced water treatment systems for clients in oil & gas, mining, industrial and construction applications.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Production Manager and execute assigned work in alignment with engineering drawings and specifications. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts to ensure accurate build-out. Assemble and mount electrical components including breakers, contactors, VFDs, PLCs, and I/O devices. Install, route, and terminate wiring including ferrules, terminals, relays, PLC components, and instrumentation with high attention to detail. Perform point-to-point wiring of control panels, junction boxes, and electrical assemblies. Assist in wire pull list and conduit layout generation based on electrical schematics. Install electrical conduit in accordance with conduit layout and NEC requirements. Size, route, and pull conductors per NEC and project specifications. Label, terminate, and dress wiring neatly according to UL508A and company standards. Conduct continuity checks, basic functional testing, and support QA/QC inspections. Identify wiring discrepancies or design issues and communicate with engineering for resolution. Maintain compliance with applicable codes and standards including UL508A, NFPA, and NEC. Maintain clean, organized panels and workspaces with accurate documentation. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and QC expectations. Safely operate shop equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in control panel wiring, conduit installation, or electrical assembly Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Working knowledge of NEC requirements for electrical component installation. High attention to detail with strong quality control mindset. Familiarity with UL508A standards and industrial control systems. Proficient with hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.). Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Strong commitment to workplace safety practices. Education & Preferred Certifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred 2+ year technical education or equivalent training/certificate UL508A familiarity or certification is a plus Experience with PLC systems or basic troubleshooting is a plus CAD or panel layout experience is a plus Environmental/Physical Demands Must be able to lift/carry materials up to a maximum of 75lbs. Communicate efficiently and effectively in person, and complete required paperwork. Subject to long, irregular hours. Requires extended periods of crawling, climbing, bending, pulling, working in tight places, walking, and standing up to 100% of a workday. Requires working in a fast-paced staging, production and manufacturing environment.- Please note we support a drug free business; all new hires will be required to take a drug test prior to being hired.
