7:00am-3:00pm We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical subassemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. The ideal candidate has experience working with hand tools, measuring instruments, electrical components, and assembly processes in a manufacturing environment. This is a potential to hire opportunity in Fort Atkinson, WI. Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Cut, prepare, and route cables and wires according to specifications
- Use wire stripping, crimping, and assembly tools to prepare wire harnesses and cable assemblies
- Perform outer jacket and inner jacket stripping of wires and cable harnesses
- Assemble complex cable and wire harness systems following work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Utilize wire layout boards to route wires and position components for harness assembly
- Wrap, tie, and secure wires at designated locations to create finished harnesses
- Assemble electrical components, systems, and subassemblies
- Operate semi-automatic equipment, production machinery, and hand tools safely and effectively
- Perform soldering and electrical connections as required
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and quality inspections of first articles, in-process assemblies, and finished products
- Use measuring and testing equipment, including tape measures, micrometers, and pull-test machines
- Other inspection tools as required
- Maintain quality standards and follow all safety procedures
- Complete additional duties and production tasks as assigned by management
Assembly Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in wire harness assembly, cable assembly, electrical assembly, or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and blueprints
- Proficient in the use of wire stripping tools, crimpers, soldering equipment, and assembly hand tools
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
