Job Title:
Panel Wirer / Electrical Assembler Job Description The Panel Wirer / Electrical Assembler assembles and wires electrical and electronic systems, panels, and support structures, installing components, units, sub-assemblies, and wiring using tools such as rivets, bolts, soldering, and micro-welding equipment. This role focuses on building high-quality electrical assemblies by following schematics and blueprints, while maintaining strong standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the production process. Responsibilities Assemble and wire electrical components, panels, and subassemblies according to schematics, blueprints, and detailed drawings. Fabricate electrical sub-assemblies by following detailed work instructions and established assembly procedures. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards. Clean parts and assemblies using appropriate cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths to maintain a safe and organized work area. Inspect and test wiring systems and circuits to verify proper operation and document test results accurately. Troubleshoot electrical components and wiring issues as needed to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during electrical and mechanical assembly tasks. Follow all safety guidelines and quality procedures to ensure reliable and compliant electrical assemblies. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience in panel wiring. At least 2 years of experience working from electrical blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in electrical wiring and panel wiring for industrial or commercial applications. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. Experience with electrical assembly of components, panels, and subassemblies. Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly tasks. Ability to perform basic repairs, adjustments, and replacements on electrical components. Skill in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for assembly work. Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures. Ability to inspect and test wiring systems and circuits and document results clearly. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with brazing in an electrical or mechanical assembly environment. Familiarity with using soldering or micro-welding equipment for electrical connections. Background in working within a clean manufacturing facility. Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical components and wiring issues. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Work Environment This position is based in a clean manufacturing facility with a focus on organized, safe, and efficient operations. The standard schedule is a first-shift role, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime work routine. There is also the ability to work four 10-hour shifts, offering some flexibility in scheduling depending on production needs. You will work on the shop floor using hand tools, power tools, and electrical assembly equipment such as soldering or micro-welding tools. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, adherence to safety procedures, and careful handling of electrical components and assemblies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
