Job Description

We have an outstanding Contract position for aMechanical Assemblerto join a leading Company located in theHuntsville, ALsurrounding area. •US Citizenship is required.•
Responsibilities :
+ Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies. + Working knowledge and use of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron). + Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications. + Candidates must have experience working with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop a strategy and identify any problems that could occur during assembly. + Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in signal and connectivity issues .
Basic Hiring Criteria :
+ High school diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years (or more) of experience in cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly. + Working knowledge of specialized tools (Crimpers, wire strippers) and equipment used during the cable assembly process. + Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance. + Current certification in
IPC/WHMA-A-620.
+ Current certification in
J-STD-001.
Desired Qualifications :
+ Current certification in
IPC/WHMA-A-620
with space addendum. + Current certification in
J-STD-001
