Diversified Support Services (DSS) is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shot Blaster to join the Corrocote team at our coatings site in Steele, Alabama. In this role, you'll operate shot blasting equipment to prepare poles for coating, ensure product quality, and help maintain a safe, efficient production environment. Responsibilities Safely operate and maintain shot blasting equipment to prepare poles for coating while preventing damage to products and machinery. Read blueprints, perform visual quality inspections, and complete required production paperwork. Assist with masking, taping, crane operation, painting, and other production duties as needed. Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. At least six months of shot blasting or sandblasting experience. At least six months of forklift and/or overhead crane experience. Mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and work independently. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform physically demanding tasks, and wear required PPE, including supplied-air respiratory protection; must meet applicable fit-testing and pulmonary function testing (PFT) requirements.

Pay Rate:

$19.00 per hour. Must be able to meet the physical and safety requirements of the position.
