Summary The Senior Assembler is responsible for ensuring the parts are assembled correctly and meeting the highest level of quality and are completed on time. They will be assembling handheld Medical Devices with Electro -Mechanical components and doing calibrations and testing. This position will work closely with Material Handling, Operations and Quality in order to complete the tasks necessary for the job. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for assembling and testing all NeurOptics products per work instructions. Helps train and mentor new assemblers as needed. Performs AFTC (Assembly and Functional Test Checklist) once products are built. Troubleshoots problems and makes necessary adjustments to resolve issues. Helps create test fixtures when needed. Preforms rework on cables, PCBA's, hardware and other electronic components as needed. Follows Drawings, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Reports defective products, material or equipment malfunctions to supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations including compliance to EN ISO 13485, Medical Device Quality Standards Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and departmental policies and procedures (DOPs), objectives, the quality assurance program, as well as safety and environmental standards Performs other related duties as assigned. Competencies Must be able to read and write in English. Must be conversational in Vietnamese. Good attention to detail and time management. Good physical dexterity, vision, and concentration. Strong work ethic. Ability to learn new equipment and processes and quickly demonstrate proficiency in their operation. Good understanding of a manufacturing environment. Must have good organization skills. Knowledge and/or experience with inventory control. Ability to cooperate and interact in a courteous and professional manner Education/Experience High School Degree or equivalent. 7 year of manufacturing experience required. Electro-mechanical assembly preferred. Previous manufacturing for a Medical Company a Plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Basic Math Skills. ESD Knowledge and experience. Soldering experience a plus Knowledge and experience with a
ISO 13485
regulated environment a plus. Good oral and written communication skills; ability to read work instructions and documents. Ability to cooperate and interact in a courteous and professional manner. Able to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. The ability to follow instructions and procedures. Ability to work occasional overtime as needed. General Responsibilities Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisor. Reports problems, discrepancies, or rejections to appropriate individual(s) Work as an active team member to compete goals in whatever area of the company is need. Other duties or special projects as needed or assigned by supervisors or VP of Operations. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This position works in medical device manufacturing environment. It requires sitting and or standing for extended periods of time. Daily use of a computer is maybe required. The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
