Job Title:
Shop Helper - Interview and Start ASAP! Job Description Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler/Fabricator, where you'll work on military and defense-grade switches and keyboards for airplane cockpits control applications. This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience working with metal parts, mechanical assemblies, and shop-floor fabrication equipment. You'll need strong blueprint reading skills to accurately match part numbers to work orders and cross-reference them with engineering drawings. Not much experience needed - hand tools, power tools and just a willingness to work within a manufacturing experience $21/hr Responsibilities Assemble metal components, including switch housings and matrix frames. Perform tasks with metal parts such as cutting, drilling, and punching. Read and interpret blueprints, verifying all details against work orders. Match part numbers to work orders and cross-check with drawings for accuracy. Operate shop equipment, including drill presses, punch presses, metal cutters, and laser metal cutters. Use computers for documentation and machine interfaces. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Collaborate with engineering and production teams. Essential Skills Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings/blueprints. Experience working with RTV adhesives. Experience working with metal parts and mechanical assemblies. High attention to detail in verifying part numbers and work-order accuracy. Familiarity with shop tools and metalworking equipment. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and dial calipers. Basic computer proficiency. Additional Skills & Qualifications CNC experience. Prior fabrication or mechanical assembly shop experience. Ability to read/write in English. Experience with machines and power tools. Knowledge of blueprints and
BOMS. ITAR

Work Environment This role is set in a small, supportive work environment with approximately 40 production employees. You'll frequently sit, stand, reach, walk, and handle materials in manufacturing. Occasionally, you may need to kneel, bend, or squat. Finger dexterity and the ability to use a keyboard/ten-key are required, along with good eyesight for using a magnifying glass and handling small parts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
