Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Pump Disassembly Technician to support our service and refurbishment operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely disassembling industrial pumps and related components for inspection, repair, and rebuild. This position requires attention to detail, proper handling of parts, and the ability to follow established procedures. Key Responsibilities Disassemble pumps, motors, and related equipment using hand and power tools Follow work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures Identify and separate reusable, repairable, and scrap components Clean parts using appropriate methods (solvents, washers, etc.) Inspect components for wear, damage, or defects and report findings Tag, label, and organize parts for tracking and reassembly Use proper techniques to remove seals, bearings, and fasteners without damage Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety standards Support assembly team as needed with parts preparation Qualifications Previous experience in mechanical disassembly, maintenance, or a related field preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment Ability to follow written instructions and diagrams Attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic math and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, bending, and repetitive hand use Comfortable working in a shop or manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with pumps, motors, or rotating equipment Familiarity with bearing and seal removal techniques Experience in repair, refurbishment, or maintenance environments
