Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for ensuring the production assembly cell remains actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedules. The Manufacturing Team Lead provides effective training to the assembly cell and ensures that safety and quality standards are consistently maintained. In addition to training new team members, the Lead will assemble products using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to perform necessary operations. With necessary training, the Manufacturing Team Lead will use Sanmina MES systems, Google applications, and Microsoft Excel to track parts and report production.
Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with supervisors and support staff to manage and prioritize staffing assignments, ensuring all customer demands and production schedules are met.
  • Coordinate and execute employee training to ensure strict adherence to procedures and quality requirements.
  • Utilize basic problem-solving skills to maintain stable work cell operations.
  • Report any issues regarding quality, processes, equipment, materials, or labor to the Production Supervisor or Manager.
  • Work closely with support teams—including Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials/Warehouse—to resolve operational issues.
  • Observe, maintain, coordinate, and complete standard work.
  • Complete lot acceptance activities for the assigned assembly cell.
  • Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement efforts in coordination with the Production Supervisor.
  • Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
  • Participate as an active member of the production assembly team by assembling products.
  • Follow all documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Complete all required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient manufacturing functions.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of e xperience leading teams or projects is strongly desired.
  • Background in lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.

84 / Hour) Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
