SMT Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to manually assemble systems using torque drivers and hardware. You will be responsible for performing load functions on hardware, soldering components onto circuit boards, and conducting functional tests on completed systems. Your role will also include pulling necessary materials from flow racks and back flushing operations using our computer operating systems. You will ensure the quality of the products by conducting Pass/Fail tests. Responsibilities Manually assemble systems using torque drivers and hardware to meet predetermined volumes. Perform load functions on hardware. Solder resistors, transistors, and transmitters onto circuit boards. Functionally test completed systems according to work processes. Pull necessary materials from flow racks and back flush operations using computer operating systems. Conduct Pass/Fail tests on products. Essential Skills Experience with SMT machine operation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficiency in soldering and working with circuit boards. Knowledge of surface mount and electro-mechanical processes. Experience with PCB technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable standing for long periods. Ability to read and follow written instructions. Skillful in handling small parts. Work Environment The work environment involves operating advanced SMT machines and requires standing for extended periods. Employees should be comfortable with flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining high-quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
