• We are currently seeking a

MICROWAVE TUBE GENERALIST

to work on 2nd shift at our Torrance, CA location, building sub-assemblies for traveling wave tube (TWT) products used primarily for military applications. In this full-time hourly position you will be responsible for building the various assemblies and sub-assemblies that make up the initial components in our TWTs. You'll follow detailed process instructions to put together small TWT sub-assemblies, using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, measuring devices and you will operate furnaces. In conjunction with others in your work group, you'll ensure that quality, cost, and production goals are met.

• Responsibilities
• + Must be able to accurately read blueprints, assembly instructions, and other related documentation + Experience using basic hand tools.

+ 20/20 eyesight (corrected) and good hand-eye coordination are necessary, along with the ability to work with small parts and hand tools under a microscope for extended periods of time. + Good math skills to carry out basic calculations and measurements are required. + Computer data input skills are helpful. + Knowledge of the use of torque tools, feeler gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators is a plus. + Knowledge of foreign object debris (FOD) control and tool control processes is desirable.

• Qualifications
• + A high school diploma or equivalent is needed. + 1-3 years of operations or manufacturing-related work experience, general knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and procedures, with previous precision mechanical assembly experience preferred. + Experience working in a clean room is helpful.
