What You'll Do As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you'll work from engineering drawings and work instructions to build complex electromechanical systems in a clean, safety-focused manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities include:
Assemble mechanical subassemblies, control panels, switchboards, and electrical components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Perform mechanical alignments, torque fasteners to specification, and verify proper fit and function. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment to complete assemblies. Conduct in-process inspections to ensure proper part orientation, wiring accuracy, and torque requirements. Perform basic electrical testing and troubleshooting using equipment such as multimeters and power supplies. Complete production documentation, job travelers, and quality checklists accurately. Utilize ERP systems (such as JobBoss) and mobile applications to track production progress. Follow UL standards, safety procedures, and Lean Manufacturing (5S) practices. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve products and manufacturing processes. What We're Looking For We're looking for dependable individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy building precision equipment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Preferred Qualifications Vocational, technical school, apprenticeship, or military experience related to mechanical or electrical systems. Experience with UL manufacturing standards. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen principles. Experience using ERP systems such as JobBoss. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Teams and production data entry.
