This position is responsible for assembling TRUMPF products in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Assembly Technician plays a key role in ensuring that finished products are built accurately, efficiently, and to the high standards expected by TRUMPF customers. Principle Duties & Responsibilities Assemble mechanical components and machines according to engineering drawings, part lists, blueprints, and hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics. Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels to achieve required tolerances. Use appropriate fixtures and assembly aids to support the build process. Operate an overhead crane to move heavy components during assembly. Adhere to TRUMPF quality standards and follow established work instructions. Read, convert, and measure using both imperial and metric systems. Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to achieve team and production goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with TRUMPF lean principles. Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing input and feedback on processes. Experience Minimum of 2 years of assembly experience, or 5 years of experience in manufacturing of machine tool parts, maintenance, or service. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and perform repetitive reaching and bending. Familiarity with documentation, drawings, and part lists is helpful. Ability to read simple schematics and blueprints. Experience using accurate measuring devices with attention to detail. Electrical wiring assembly experience and computer literacy are a plus.
