Job Description An Assembler is responsible for completing the following duties: Perform all necessary assembly routines before and after equipment has been painted Use shop paperwork to complete machine assembly Install purchase parts and sub-assemblies prior to and after the painting process Install drive and pulleys systems components Install conveyor belting Install 12 volt trailer light wiring Update paperwork to reflect any changes Operate equipment safely - Power tools and Hand Tools and other equipment, as required Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes Operate forklift according to safe operating procedures, including acquisition and maintenance of training certificate Test-run completed equipment prior to shipment Keep work area clean and free of debris, sweeping as necessary Special projects as assigned Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must have experience working with power tool and hand tool Must be able follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations and use basic hand held measuring tools Must be able to read and interpret blueprints Read 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" gradations on tape measure Convert feet to inches and vice versa Must be able to identify fastener sizes (Nuts & Bolts)
