Placers is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented candidate with fabrication and mechanical assembly experience to support manufacturing operations in a shop-based, startup environment. This role focuses on fabricating and assembling large-scale HVAC and thermal systems, performing quality checks, and supporting continuous improvement in a hands-on production setting. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with sheet metal, mechanical fabrication, or industrial assembly experience who are comfortable working with evolving designs and building equipment from raw or semi-finished materials.

8am-4:30pm

Mon-Fri Pay:

$25/hr, weekly pay!! Duties Follow production schedules, work orders, and build documentation to meet daily output goals Fabricate and assemble metal and mechanical components for large-scale HVAC or thermal systems Operate shop and production equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety standards Read and interpret fabrication drawings, and assembly instructions Perform in-process and final quality checks; identify and report defects or fit issues Assist with modifying or reworking parts as designs evolve (prototype / low-volume builds) Assemble, clean, lubricate, and maintain components and subassemblies Maintain clean, organized workspaces in accordance with 5S standards Communicate build status, issues, and improvement ideas with supervisors and team members Support other production and fabrication tasks as business needs change Requirements High School Diploma or GED required 3+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, hard-tech manufacturing, or fabrication-focused environments Hands-on fabrication experience (sheet metal, mechanical fabrication, or equipment build preferred) Experience assembling large-scale equipment (refrigerator-sized up to shipping-container-sized) Fabrication drawing reading required Comfortable working in a shop-based, startup or prototype environment Ability to pass extensive background and drug screening Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Equal Employment Opportunity Placers will recruit, hire, train, and promote individuals, as well as administer any and all personnel actions, without regard to race, religion, creed or color, national origin, ancestry, mental and/or physical disability, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or other characteristics protected by law.
