Fire Truck Assembler

Mechanical Assembler - Fire Pump Assembly Job Description The candidate will use blueprints, schematics, and tools to build and assemble large pumps used in fire trucks . This role involves hands‑on mechanical assembly and testing, as well as documenting any defects or issues on production logs. The candidate will work with a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, presses, assembly and test fixtures, measuring and testing instruments, hand trucks, cranes, and hoists . Schedule Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Overtime available Key Responsibilities Perform basic assembly, fitting, and wiring to build sub‑assemblies and finished products Build components using detailed procedures, blueprints, cross sections, or general instructions , following acceptable mechanical practices Install components using sound mechanical judgment with limited instruction when required Use hand, air, hydraulic, and testing tools and equipment Read and follow torque values and procedures Inspect products and install test components, including connecting, aligning, pressing, fitting, setting, and adjusting for proper clearances Remove test components from pumps as required Transport products and equipment to designated work areas Troubleshoot, repair, and make adjustments as needed to meet inspection requirements Document defects and production activity accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Report safety, maintenance, or supply needs to supervisor in a timely manner Required Skills Hand tools Power tools Mechanical assembly Blueprint and schematic reading Installation Pneumatics Production assembly Use of measuring tools (measuring tape, testing instruments) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Ocala, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
