About Earnest Products Celebrating over 30 years in Central Florida, Earnest Products delivers high-quality sheet metal fabrication of custom parts and related services to customers nationwide. We are a well-established manufacturing company focused on operational excellence, innovation, and growth. Our team members play a key role in achieving company goals while building long-term careers in a supportive, professional workplace. Position Summary The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling precision sheet metal products and components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical parts and products using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment (wrenches, drills, rivet guns, torque drivers, etc.).
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Inspect assemblies for accuracy, defects, or deviations from specifications.
- Perform minor adjustments, repairs, and rework as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments (fabrication, welding, paint, etc.) to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assembly work performed.
- Adhere to company quality standards, safety protocols, and productivity goals.
- Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or related field preferred (sheet metal fabrication or metal products industry experience a plus).
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, technical drawings, or schematics.
- Basic math and measurement skills, including ability to use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to meeting production deadlines.
