Job Description
Build Mission-Critical Products at Elma Electronic Elma Electronic is a global leader in advanced embedded computing solutions, precision metal fabrication, and electronic packaging systems serving the aerospace, defense, industrial, transportation, medical, and communications industries. We are seeking two Mechanical Assemblers to join our manufacturing team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This position is ideal for individuals with experience assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical products in a manufacturing environment who enjoy hands-on work, reading assembly drawings, and building high-quality products with precision. This is a manufacturing assembly position—not a warehouse role. Please note you need to have direct assembly experience. What You Will Do As a Mechanical Assembler, you will build precision sheet metal assemblies, chassis, cabinets, enclosures, and electromechanical products by following assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and production documentation. Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical components, chassis, housings, cabinets, racks, and sheet metal enclosures. Fit, align, and secure components to meet product specifications and quality standards. Work from blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and bills of material. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies. Install hardware, brackets, panels, and mechanical subassemblies. Perform product inspections to verify proper fit, alignment, and workmanship. Support basic interconnect and cable installation when required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. What We are Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and manufacturing instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in sheet metal fabrication, enclosure assembly, cabinet assembly, or electro-mechanical assembly. Experience working with precision mechanical components and tight tolerances. Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards and continuous improvement practices. Experience assembling industrial equipment, electronic enclosures, server racks, cabinets, or similar products. Physical Requirements Stand and walk throughout the workday. Frequently lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds. Use hands for repetitive assembly and tool operation. Work with small hardware and precision mechanical components requiring attention to detail.
