Mechanical Assembler - Sheet Metal / Sink Assembly Job Description This role focuses on assembling sheet metal sinks using both air power tools and hand tools in a clean, large-scale manufacturing facility. You will select the correct components, interpret technical drawings and blueprints, and ensure each assembly meets strict safety and quality standards. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently on an assembly line both independently and as part of a collaborative production team. Responsibilities + Assemble sheet metal sinks and related components according to technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. + Select and prepare the correct components for specific assembly processes and procedures. + Use air power tools and hand tools to perform precise mechanical assembly tasks on the production line. + Adjust and fit components to ensure proper alignment, fit, and function of the final assembly. + Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand assembly requirements and specifications. + Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues to maintain production efficiency and product quality. + Maintain, calibrate, and care for tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve and optimize assembly procedures and workflows. + Follow all safety protocols and quality standards throughout the assembly process in a manufacturing environment. + Measure and verify components using tape measures and other basic measuring tools to ensure accuracy. + Work effectively on an assembly line with other sheet metal craftspeople and production staff to meet daily output targets. + Document and communicate any issues with materials, tools, or processes to supervisors or engineering teams as needed.
