What You Will Do Build & Assemble:
Build custom heavy metal structures and boiler products from scratch.
Read Blueprints:
Interpret complex mechanical blueprints, structural layouts, and schematics.
Weld & Fabricate:
Perform structural MIG welding, cutting, bending, and shaping of sheet metal.
Fasten Components:
Connect heavy assemblies using rivets, rolls, soldering, and steel fasteners.
Quality Check:
Inspect finished work to ensure it meets strict quality and safety guidelines.
What We Are Looking For Experience:
Strong mechanical assembly or fabrication experience in a heavy manufacturing plant.
Blueprint Skills:
Ability to read and interpret industrial structural blueprints.
Welding Skills:
Practical, hands-on experience with structural MIG welding.
Tool Expertise:
Skilled with hand tools, power tools, precision tape measures, and shop machinery.
Aptitude:
Solid basic math skills and the ability to adapt to custom, changing designs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
